To begin, 2 pieces from Manuel De Falla’s ballet “El Amor Brujo”; Canadian violinist Scott St. John and guitarist Simon Wynberg play Paganini’s “Variations on Barucaba”; Louis Moreau Gottschalk’s Symphony #2, subtitled “A Montevideo” (written while he was in Uruguay; more Gottschalk to conclude his glittering and infectious “Grande Tarantelle” for piano and orchestra.
